Hundreds of times
I could hear people say these words.
Thousands.
But that's all they are,
Until I hear them from your lips.

It is what it is.
This is how it is.
This is how it will always be.
Acceptance.
I will never have you on my terms.
This is how it will always be.
Acceptance.
I will never have you on my terms.

A Few Random Short Poems
Puzzle
Creator of this puzzle
that I call home.
The maker of this body
that creaks and moans.
Tell me where to find
the pieces to fill these empty holes;
the missing pieces to the puzzle,
or just that one piece, that will make me whole.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hide away,
so you can't see,
this evil demon
that lives inside of me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Something
There is something
about the way you smile.
I want to be the reason
you smile that way.
I don't even know you,
but there's something about you,
that makes me think I do.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I fall apart.
You pick up the pieces.
You say you'll make me whole.
There I go again.
Believing your lies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The inability to sleep keeps me here
Punching letters on the keyboard.
Staring into the
sick
florescent glow of the screen.
These words on the screen are not mine.
They belong to the me that I left behind.
I'd ask you to remember her,
but try as you might, you won't.
I carved her out of my skin when I met you.
Without her,
it was easier to give in to you.
Give in to all your little pleasantries and not-so-humorous jokes.
But you're gone.
And the joke is on me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Together we lied
In a bed made of promises
that were only kept in the darkness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I let you
let me fall.
Blindsided by your sweet words
and silent entrancing ways.
Slipping and sliding into the darkness
that I let you lead me into.
Weakness.
Selfishness.
Loneliness.

I'd Rather be Deluded
I flatter myself,
thinking you will read these words I've written.
I picture you;
curling up, with a mug in one hand,
eager,
for the pleasure of knowing what's on my mind.
I delude myself with this fantasy.
You will not do these things.
You will not take the time to read these words.
I've already been forgotten.
Tossed aside.
A plaything you got bored with.
You get bored so easily.
Now is my chance.
You're not paying attention, so,
I can call you all those nasty things
Society has taught me to think.
But I won't.
I can't.
I'm not angry.
Just sad for you.
Your weakness.
You will always be alone.
No matter how many people surround you.
No matter how many people you bring to your bed.
Alone.
Your weakness.
Fear of being left alone.
It will be a vicious cycle for you.
But this is not what I want to see when I think of you.
So, I won't.
Delusion is better then the truth.
I hope you enjoyed your cup of tea.
thinking you will read these words I've written.

Silence
Kicking ideas around yet again. Always welcome comments and opinions.
-----------
Communication is the key,
But in silence we find,
We have so much more in common.
------------
Caged:
by your silence;
Your decision to leave me in the
Darkness
Created by your absence of words.
In this empty prison cell,
You've left me with only mixed emotions
To feed upon.
Screaming for your attention;
For some sustenance.
Something more than hushed promises,
that only promise to be broken.
Something more than quiet excuses
that are meant to console.
Save me from these bare walls.
Give me truths;
Even if it hurts.
Set me free
Before I soon slip away,
consumed by your stillness.

Magic
In the darkness you stood.
Untouchable.
Some magic I would never master.
My hands,
too shaky.
My words,
fumbled.
Spoken-in-too-rushed-sentences.
I, a mere mage,
in a world of masters;
blending into the woodwork
of some distant place you'll never again enter.
What I once was,
has become
nothing.
Some separate darkness
engulfs me.
I am lost.
In the memory of the
of your smile;
the lingering softness of your touch.
Untouchable.
Some magic I would never master.
My hands,
too shaky.
My words,
fumbled.

Logic
Words.
rumble, tumble, churn,
in my heart
as it feverishly beats
in my throat.
Butterflies
have had an adverse effect
on my state of health.
My mind,
silent,
for once in this matter.
it wont get involved.
Bailing on me,
when logic is my only
savior.
rumble, tumble, churn,
in my heart
as it feverishly beats
in my throat.
Butterflies
have had an adverse effect
on my state of health.
My mind,
silent,
for once in this matter.
it wont get involved.
Bailing on me,
when logic is my only
savior.
These are not mine but I found them quite lovely. I really love Rumi's poetry.
I have words rolling around in my head. Expect something original from me soon. I'm feeling inspired.

WHISPERS OF LOVE
Lover whispers to my ear,
"Better to be a prey than a hunter.
Make yourself My fool.
Stop trying to be the sun and become a speck!
Dwell at My door and be homeless.
Don't pretend to be a candle, be a moth,
so you may taste the savor of Life
and know the power hidden in serving."

show me your face
i crave
flowers and gardens
open your lips
i crave
the taste of honey
come out from
behind the clouds
i desire a sunny face
your voice echoed
saying "leave me alone"
i wish to hear your voice
again saying "leave me alone"
i swear this city without you
is a prison
i am dying to get out
to roam in deserts and mountains
i am tired of
flimsy friends and
submissive companions
i die to walk with the brave
am blue hearing
nagging voices and meek cries
i desire loud music
drunken parties and
wild dance
one hand holding
a cup of wine
one hand caressing your hair
then dancing in orbital circle
that is what i yearn for
i can sing better than any nightingale
but because of
this city's freaks
i seal my lips
while my heart weeps
yesterday the wisest man
holding a lit lantern
in daylight
was searching around town saying
i am tired of
all these beasts and brutes
i seek
a true human
we have all looked
for one but
no one could be found
they said
yes he replied
but my search is
for the one
who cannot be found

LOOKING FOR YOUR FACE
From the beginning of my life
I have been looking for your face
but today I have seen it
I have been looking for your face
but today I have seen it
Today I have seen
the charm, the beauty,
the unfathomable grace
of the face
that I was looking for
the charm, the beauty,
the unfathomable grace
of the face
that I was looking for
Today I have found you
and those who laughed
and scorned me yesterday
are sorry that they were not looking
as I did
and those who laughed
and scorned me yesterday
are sorry that they were not looking
as I did
I am bewildered by the magnificence
of your beauty
and wish to see you
with a hundred eyes
of your beauty
and wish to see you
with a hundred eyes
My heart has burned with passion
and has searched forever
for this wondrous beauty
that I now behold
and has searched forever
for this wondrous beauty
that I now behold
I am ashamed
to call this love human
and afraid of God
to call it divine
to call this love human
and afraid of God
to call it divine
Your fragrant breath
like the morning breeze
has come to the stillness of the garden
You have breathed new life into me
I have become your sunshine
and also your shadow
like the morning breeze
has come to the stillness of the garden
You have breathed new life into me
I have become your sunshine
and also your shadow
My soul is screaming in ecstasy
Every fiber of my being
is in love with you
Every fiber of my being
is in love with you
Your effulgence
has lit a fire in my heart
for me
the earth and sky
has lit a fire in my heart
for me
the earth and sky
My arrow of love
has arrived at the target
I am in the house of mercy
and my heart
is a place of prayer
has arrived at the target
I am in the house of mercy
and my heart
is a place of prayer
